Fifteen KEMP Hospice daredevil fundraisers took to the skies on Sunday to raise funds for the Hospice in a charity tandem skydive.
In a perfect blue sky the team travelled to 13,000ft to freefall for 30 – 40 seconds, before parachuting back to Hinton Airfield, Northants. Beth Hillyard, Hospice Fundraiser said: “It was an absolutely amazing day, I would recommend a skydive to anybody, and we are hoping to organise another skydiving day in the next few months”.
Three generations of one family undertook the challenge, with Gordon Maycroft aged 80 of Stourport, his son, Hubert aged 59, and granddaughter Lisa, 26 all taking part in the skydive to raise funds for the Hospice. Gordon said: “It was a perfect day, I’m very proud they came to support me. The important thing was to raise money for the Hospice”.
It is hoped that approximately £4,000 will have been raised for the Hospice.
