Disability Action Wyre Forest is taking action for access at the Showcase for Older People at Kidderminster Town hall 9.30am-1.30pm on Thursday 5th August 2010.
Disability Action Wyre Forest supports Action for Access by Leonard Cheshire disability.
Action for Access is the campaign for an accessible UK www.actionforaccess.org .
Every day disabled people in Wyre Forest face barriers to do everyday activities, like visiting shops, public transport or using the bank or the post office.
Despite the disability Discrimination act which came into force in 1995 much of the UK still remains inaccessible to many disabled people.
Action for Access gives every one the opportunity to start putting this right whether you’re a disabled person, a shop keeper or service provider an elected representative, or an interested individual.
