Woman trapped upside down in car near Franche

A WOMAN was trapped upside down in her car after it left the road and turned on its roof near Franche this morning.
She lost control of a Citroen Picasso in icy conditions on the A442 Franche to Bridgnorth road at about 6.20am.
Her male passenger escaped the vehicle but the woman was trapped as the seat belt was stuck and the door was jammed.
It took a fire crew from Kidderminster about 15 minutes to free her by removing the car door.
The man and woman were both taken by ambulance to Worcestershire Royal Hospital suffering from minor injuries.
