The society will soon be closing its 2014 season with its traditional Christmas Celebration of seasonal readings and music. In the meantime members have enjoyed an audio-visual evening of ballet, opera and orchestral music compiled and presented by Gerald Edwards. We also anticipate Jean Harradine’s “Trip to the countryside”
which should turn up all sorts of pastoral musical connections. That programme takes place at Holy Innocents Community Hall, Foley Park, on November 28 starting at 7.30 pm. For more information go to www.classicalmusickidderminster.
org.uk. Once again, to avoid the worst of the winter evenings, the four meetings for January and February are being moved to Trinity Methodist Church Centre, Churchfields, on Friday afternoons, starting at 2pm.
