After the evenings business was attended to the October monthly meeting was given over to a harvest supper, the food all supplied by the members themselves, a double table filled with savouries and desserts, with the usual tea and coffee.
A raffle with the first prize being a lovely basket of fruit and vegetables was won by Jan Haynes, other winners Joan Nutland and Jan Stevens.
To finish the evening four games of Hoy were played with Dorothy Hadwell being the caller.
November’s meeting which was to have been an open evening with speaker John Nixon on “Modern China” has had to be postponed due to unforeseen circumstances, but the competition “A piece of china” will still go ahead.
The evening will now be a games evening
