A WYRE Forest climber died from chest injuries after falling 1,000ft, a coroner has ruled.

Paul Guest, 32, of Meaton Lane, Rock, died on Sunday, February 19, after the fall on Ben Nevis in Scotland.

Mr Guest was climbing with friend David Warden, who also fell but survived.

The inquest held today at Worcestershire Coroner’s Court in Stourport heard Mr Guest died at the scene as the result of an accident.

She added there were “no suspicious circumstances”.
