Man arrested after cannabis and other drugs seized in Stourport

A MAN was arrested in Stourport yesterday after drugs and other property was seized by officers who executed a warrant on the Walshes estate.

Police, including dog handlers, went to a property in Lane End Walk at about 9.30am and executed a search warrant obtained under the Misuse of Drugs Act.

A quantity of cannabis was seized along with other substances, believed to be controlled drugs, which have been sent for analysis.

Other property was also removed including drugs paraphernalia and a quantity of cash.

A man in his 20s was arrested a short time later on suspicion of possessing controlled drugs.

He was questioned at Kidderminster Police Station before being released on bail until August 15 while the investigation continues.
