A FUN day is being held in Trimpley on Saturday to raise awareness and money for a two-year-old girl with a rare genetic disease.
Ruby Backus, from Kidderminster, was born with Sandhoff disease, an incurable disorder which causes a deterioration of the central nervous system.
She needs special equipment as well as stem cell and bone marrow treatment. Her family also hope to raise money for research into the disease.
The fun day will be held in Halls Farm Lane, near Bewdley and will include stalls, a barbeque, a tombola, raffle, face painting, a coconut shy and hook a duck. It will begin at noon.
