IT will be a close shave for a fund-raising Wolverley High School pupil during a Kidderminster summer fair.
Lucy Sly, 16, will be having her head shaved at the Broadwaters Fair, in Broadwaters Park, tomorrow. She will donate her hair to the Little Princess Trust - which provides wigs for children who suffer hair loss due to cancer treatment - and money raised will go to Kemp Hospice.
The deed will be performed at 2pm by Tina Homan, of Hair by Tina in Stourport. Lucy said she had chosen to collect funds for Kemp as members of her family had benefited from the services it provided.
The Broadwaters Fair, in aid of the KD11 Harkaway Scout Group, starts at 1.30pm and will be opened by Kidderminster mayor John Campion.
It will feature an afternoon of entertainment, including Irish dancers, Zumba, the amazing dancing dogs and stilt walking and juggling by entertainer Andrew Healey.
