A WOLVERLEY school is inviting residents to join students for their annual candlelight carol service at St John’s Church.
Taking place between 7pm and 8.15pm on Tuesday, December 9, Wolverley CE Secondary School’s free service will feature a performance from the school orchestra.
Singing groups, the year 7 choir and students giving readings and taking part in a drama piece will also be part of the evening.
Bryn Thomas, headteacher, said: “Everyone at the school is looking forward to welcoming the local community to our candlelight carol service to enjoy the students’ performances and join us for a glass of mulled wine and a mince pie afterwards.
“This is a particularly important time of year for the church and we are always thrilled to be involved and celebrate our school’s Church of England status.”
