A POPULAR folk night has been relaunched at a Wolverley pub.

The Lock, Stock and Barrel Folk Night at the Lock Inn began on Monday and will continue weekly.

Andrew Bishop, took over as landlord of the pub in October and decided to start running the event again after customers told him how popular the evenings used to be.

He explained: “It used to be a major folk night in the area and people kept telling me how good they were. We’ve had a few folk bands play here since we took over and the demand was good, so I thought it was a good name to give to a regular night.

“As in the case of most folk clubs, floor singers will be most welcome.

“We would like to welcome back any members of the original club as we feel that their experience could be beneficial at the onset of this new venture. Any ideas people have would be also more than welcome.”
