The next meeting of the group will take place on Tuesday November 11 in the Corn Exchange at Kidderminster Town Hall ( not November 12, as advertised in some programmes ), starting at 2pm. Frank Townsend will give a talk entitled “ Compliments of the season “.
Publicity Officer Gay Hill explained further “ As we are just about to start the build up to the festive season, Frank will be talking about the history of some of our well loved Christmas customs, especially that of sending Christmas cards.
His talk will include pictures of Christmas cards from the Victorian period right up to some humorous cards from the present day. “ There is a small entry fee which includes refreshments and everyone is welcome.
