A ONCE in a lifetime project will see the world's largest catalogue of Worcester porcelain created.
Museum of Worcester Porcelain has over 10,000 pots in its collection but only a very small proportion have been photographed.
It wants people to come on board and help fund a two-year project to photograph and record each piece which is expected to cost £20,000.
The world’s largest catalogue of Worcester porcelain will then be made available directly from the museum's website.
Work has already begun on the project but the museum is hoping people will be able to show their support by offering donations with £10 spent on photographing 5 pots and up to £1,000 spent on photographing 500 pots.
For more information contact museum director Amanda Savidge via amanda@museumofroyalworcester.org or 01905 21247.
Volunteers are also needed to work with a team of experts to write the catalogue texts which can be carried out at home in most cases.
Anyone who would like to get involved, or has any questions, should contact Caroline Engevi at caroline@museumofroyalworcester.org or 01905 21247.
