THE ribbon was officially cut on a Worcester charity's first fundraising shop in Tolladine.
Mayor of Worcester Roger Knight had the honour of cutting the ribbon on the New Hope Charity Shop where everything costs just 50p.
The till was ringing all day long as people took the opportunity to pick up a bargain from the store at 118 Rose Avenue.
Fortis Living has helped the charity by leasing it the shop.
Jean Wilson, the founder and manager of New Hope, said: "Our first day went very well and we were very busy indeed."
Money raised at the shop will help fund the activities carried out by the charity, which has a day centre in Wells Road, Ronkswood.
