THERE will be live music and a dancing duo when a Stourport care home embraces Silver Sunday next month.
On Sunday, October 2, between 2pm and 4pm, older people from the community are invited to Ravenhurst Residential Care Home, in Lickhill Road North, where the team and residents will host a vintage-themed tea dance.
Ravenhurst will be throwing open the doors to host a 1940s and 1950s themed day, with live music and a performing dance duo, who will be teaching residents and guests a step or two.
There will also be a high tea menu for everyone to enjoy, with a variety of finger sandwiches and cakes.
Carla Siwicki, activities leader, said: "Our residents really embrace community events like this - they love sharing celebrations at their home with local people and hope to welcome lots of new faces along for Silver Sunday."
Silver Sunday is a national day celebrating older people, where communities and organisations host free events to help combat loneliness and reduce isolation.
