HEREFORD’S Fire Choir is celebrating its 25th birthday by joining forces with the Fishpond Choir for a special concert.
The two groups will combine forces from 7.30pm on October 21 at St Peter’s Church in Hereford to sing music from around the world.
The Hereford choir was founded after the disastrous Sun Valley fire in 1993 when two fire fighters lost their lives.
To honour their memory, other members of the fire service, led by Neil Piggott, a serving fireman, formed the choir to raise money for local charities.
Gradually others joined and the group is now one of the largest community choirs in the county, led by Jon Watson.
Tickets priced at £7 can be bought on the door. For information, visit herefordfirechoir.info/
