FAMILY and friends of missing Kidderminster store manager Matthew Gill are hosting a public meeting to thank people for their support.

The 43-year-old, known as Liggy, who works at B&Q in the town, has not been seen since Friday October 6.

And there have been no positive sightings or leads since Mr Gill's mobile phone was switched on in the Stourton area briefly on Thursday October 19, according to family friend Steve Phillips.

He said: "We'll be looking at towns and cities in the lead-up to Christmas. "There's a chance that people are walking past him and not recognising him."

Friends, family and volunteers have been out searching tirelessly for Mr Gill and clues as to why he disappeared - with members of the public who had never met him even turning out to help.

To say thank you for everyone's efforts to date - his partner Annette Woodhouse and friends and family will be hosting a social evening gathering to show their appreciation and share information about the search so far and what they are planning next.

The meeting will be held on Monday November 18 at The Britannia Inn, Wollaston High Street, at 8pm.
