FIREFIGHTERS have tackled a fire today (October 27) at a derelict Kidderminster golf club - the second incident in as many months.
Crews from Stourport and Kidderminster were called to Burlish Park Golf Club, in Zortech Avenue, at around 4.30pm this afternoon and found the building engulfed in flames.
There have been no reported injuries and firefighters battled for around two hours to extinguish the blaze.
Burlish Park Golf Club was hit with financial problems and liquidators moved in earlier this year and the facility closed, resulting in the loss of around 10 jobs.
Buildings at the site have been boarded up but, last month, Wyre Forest District Council urged people to stay away from the site for their own safety following a string of break-ins, criminal damage and suspected arson attempts.
And crews from across the district were called to the club on September 19 when a fire broke out at around 6.30pm, causing serious damage to the empty building.
