STOURPORT police officers are set to host a partners and communities together (PACT) meeting with a difference - by live streaming it on Facebook.

Residents can attend the meeting which will take place on Tuesday (November 28) from 7pm at Lickhill Community Centre, in Lower Lickhill Road.

But, to reach further audiences, the meeting - which will last between 45 minutes and one hour - will be live streamed on the Stourport Neighbourhood Watch Facebook page.

Residents watching in the comfort of their own home can post their issues and questions to on the live feed - which will be read out to the panel and put forward for a vote.

Sergeant Alastair Catherwood, of Wyre Forest Safer Neighbourhood Team, said: “I know that for years PACT meetings were a really successful way for communities and local partners to get things done.

"Public numbers dwindled though to the extent that many meetings were stopped.

"We want to help reinvigorate PACT and really hope that by live streaming this event people will be inquisitive, login and join in.

"The more the better, we want them there.

"It really is a great way to talk to community partners and get things done locally."

The panel will include an independent chairman, a member of Stourport Safer Neighbourhood Team, town, district and county councillors and a representative from the Community Housing Group.
