WITH only one week remaining of the Kidderminster and District Midweek Bowling League, Franche and St Johns A continue to battle it out at the top of Division One.

Franche continue their successful season with a win against their club rivals – Franche D, while St Johns A had a bye so the final game of the season will be the decide the eventual outcome although Franche have shots difference of almost 200.

SW Victoria demonstrated why they lead the field in Division Two beating Royal Mail at home by 82 shots.

St Johns B had a battle royal on the Wolverley green with the home team the eventual victors by one shot.

Cookley B are the undisputed winners of Division Three, they are a full 10 points ahead of their nearest rivals Oldington B, although Oldington B beat Kinver C by 71 shots.

Franche C showed their strength with a 42 chalks win on their home green against Wolverley C.

In Division Four, Cookley D had another successful week with a win at St Ambrose whilst their rivals Oldington D lost out to SW Warriors by a mighty 62 shots.

Franche A continue their successful season with a win at home against Kinver B in Division One of the Thursday Afternoon Midweek in contrast St Johns OB A had a tougher game at Ombersley but managed to take home a five shots victory.

In Division Two, St Ambrose B had a tight game on their home green but they held on to gain the match by five shots.

Little Lakes had a disappointing week losing to St Johns OB B mean while Carolians used the home advantage to beat Bewdley C by 25 shots.
