KIDDERMINSTER GC were celebrating after the Handicap League team reached the semi-finals.

Captain Sean Williams saw his squad’s impressive first season come to an end when they were beaten by Bransford in the last four on Saturday.

After topping the division they came up against a strong Bransford outfit and unfortunately couldn’t progress to the final.

It’s been a great effort by all 32 players, who were led so well by Williams.

The A team, captained by Paul Upton, shared the spoils 3-3 with Sapey in a result that means top spot is now out of reach but with a game to go, second place is still up for grabs.

The John Hay Cup winners were Shirley Caswell and George Baylis.
