THERE were shocks galore in the Kidderminster Snooker League's premier division this week as the top two teams were both thrashed.
Top of the league Pockets S were battered 4-1 by Pockets B with Dave Timmington and Gareth Ward winning two games apiece and Richard Pepperall making a 29 break.
The next shock was bottom placed St John's D taking second placed Chester Road apart 5-0 for their first win and Chester Road's first defeat of the season. Dave Hayward and Pete Smith gained two wins each.
St John's E leapfrogged them both to go top of the league with a 3-2 win against Pockets A thanks to James Allington winning both his games.
Finally, Cookley beat Pockets E 3-2 with Simon Gallatly winning both his games.
Division One saw Wribbenhall open a four point gap at the top when they beat Workmans A 3-2, thanks too Sebastian Lewis and John Roberts claiming two wins each.
St John's C still hold second spot despite losing 4-1 to Pockets G.
Legion got their first win in style by beating Workmans B away 5-0, with Martin Lester grabbing two points with his two wins. Pockets C won their match against St Georges 3-2.
