MATT Fairman, Ash Cook, Adam Cook and Mark Mansell emerged victorious from Cleobury Mortimer Golf Club's Yellowball competition.
The four-man format saw the yellow ball rotated around the teams for double points with early starters Paul Judge, Stuart Fellows, Ian Juckes and Nick Firth setting a high standard with 115 points.
But the midday team, which Mansell was drafted into at the 11th hour, outgunned their opponents.
Team captain Ash Cook said: “We all played really well and everyone contributed with the yellow ball.
“It was cold but the conditions were was fantastic and we owe a big thank you to Mark for stepping in. We were still a three-ball two hours before play.”
Meanwhile, Cleobury wonderkid Jack Severn continued his rich vein of form with victory in the club’s Scratch Knockout Trophy.
Severn piled on the pressure with early birdies and saw out the success with two of the 36 holes to spare. He now turns his attention to the Junior European Open in Andalucia, Spain at the end of the month.
