IN their first season Kidderminster Carolians Ladies RFC have gone from strength-to-strength.

The new-look side haven't looked back since they started the season with an 86-0 loss to Cheltenham.

Since then they won the Five Ways Old Edwardians seven-a-side tournament in the summer and more than matched the opposition in the North Midlands Cluster League.

So far they have defeated University of Birmingham seconds 39-0, Tamworth 44-6 and Bournville 60-0.

They have also enjoyed a host of friendly successes, beating Stourbridge 10-0, Dudley Kingswinford 31-0 and Earlsdon and Kersley 27-14.

Despite their success, the ladies need more players to attend training and bolster their squad.

Anyone interesting is welcome to come along to Marlpool Lane on Wednesdays and train with the squad, under the guidance of coach Stuart Eades.

All players and abilities are welcome for the club, which is sponsored by Thomas Vale Construction.

Anyone who wants more information can go to www.kcrfc.org or call the ladies representative Sarah Cound on 07977 120272.

Alternatively, leave a message on the Club’s voicemail on 01562 740043.

The ladies take on Old Newtonians away in the league on Saturday, March 28 but their next home game is a friendly against Kersley on Saturday (2.15pm start).
