ATHLETICS: A group of Kidderminster and Stourport athletes took part in the under-17s and 20 upper age group Youth Development Division meeting.
The up-and-coming stars compete with Dudley and Stourbridge Athletic Club members in a composite team under the guise of North Worcestershire.
They finished third overall with all club members showing good performances.
There were wins for Kidderminster and Stourport trio Bryony Haines, Ellie Ravenscroft and Edward Fussi.
All three also represented Hereford and Worcesters Schools at the championshops held at the Alexander Stadium last weekend.
Results, U17 boys: Archie Roberts, 800m 2.18.7 (2); Bradley Thomas, shot put: 8.19m (3), 200m 24.4 (5); Corwin Barnes: 400m 54.0 (1); Alex Sparkes, 800m 2.30.0 (3); High jump 1.40m (2), long jump 4.53m (4), Oliver Read, Hammer 24.74m (3); shot put 7.95m (3); javelin 22.95m (4).
U20 boys: Edward Fussi, 100m 11.3 (1); 200m 23.5 (2).
U17 girls: Ellie Ravenscroft, 300m 43.7 (2); 300m hurdles 48.1 (2); long jump 4.85m (1).
U20 girls: Sarah Stuart Smith, 400m 64.0 (1); Bryony Haines: 800m 2.20.9 (1); shot put 6.07m (2).
