KIDDERMINSTER Golf Club’s Am-Am tournament saw 220 players compete with a quartet from Kingfisher GC emerging triumphant.

Richard Bell, Ian Palmer, Rich Dixon and Shane Edwards won with 88 points, while in second was James Bulmer, Aubrey Pearson, James Toman and Dave Harvey (85 points).

Darren Warner, Duncan McPhearson, Tony Sanders and Sean Lloyd were third with 85 points.

Paul Upton and James Bulmer won the Beaucastle Cup, which was played at Wharton Park, with a net score of 63 points.

The Aggborough Bowl and Division One winner went to Sarah Nicklin net 69, followed in second by Karen Greenfield (net 70).

Bridget Turnock won Division Two with a net 76, while Jane Murrant was runner-up with 78.

Meanwhile, the members of Cleobury Mortimer were once again out in force to show their support for long standing club president Tom Straughton.

This unique competition on the Cleobury calender allows the members to play all 27 holes in a medal format with prizes for the best 27 hole, 18 hole and nine hole score.

Mike Wood shot the best nine hole score to pip Ian Orme on countback. Rob Winnell then put in a sublime display on the Badgers Sett and Deer Park course to shoot a 68 nett and take home the trophy.

But the day belonged to one of the most consistent performers.

Jack Pringle shot an incredible four under gross for the 27 holes to record a nett 101 and win by three from John Swithenby.
