CYCLING: Justin Walters was Wyre Forest’s leading rider at the Warwickshire RC promoted 10 miles time trial.
Walters finished 11th from an entry of 81 solo riders in a time of 22 minutes and 26 seconds.
He was followed by Jon Howard (19th,23.11), Andrew Preece (25th, 23.28), Gary Jones (32nd, 24.09) and Paul Gibson (45th, 25.39).
Representing the ladies, Lucy Walters riding in only her second race at this distance finished 55th with a time of 26.31, which was almost a minute inside her previous best for the distance.
Earlier in the week, the Walters had raced in the VC Sevale midweek 10 miles time trial, with Justin winning in 23.4 and Lucy finishing 14th with a time of 27.30.
