Pedal to the metal: Andy Convery won the first mid week time trial of the season for Wyre Forest CC.
CYCLING: Andy Convery took the first win in Wyre Forest CRC’s midweek time trial championship with a time of 34 minutes and 14 seconds.
Justin Walters was runner-up by two seconds after 14 miles of racing over the Pearl Lane course.
But he bounced back and overcame his disappointment by winning the VC Sevale 16 mile time trial the following evening, in a time of 36-10 with club mate Andy Overton third in a time of 37-29.
Walters was in action again at the Coventry CC promoted 10 mile time trial where he finished 13th.
