STOURPORT are second in Worcestershire Division Three after thrashing Tenbury Wells by nine wickets.

Fielding a weakened side, Tenbury won the toss and elected to bat but were soon reduced to 2-2.

They eventually limped to 109 all out in the 35th over.

All Stourport bowlers returned good figures, with Lee Waldron (4-26), Gavin Bryan (2-10) and Matthew Delo (2-44) in good form.

Ryan Delo’s 53 not out and 54 not out from Spencer Colley saw Stourport to victory in the 21st over.

This Saturday, they entertain Alvechurch and Hopwood (1pm start).

Meanwhile, the seconds came out on top in a high scoring encounter with Worcester Nomads.

Batting first on an excellent Stourport track, Nomads amassed 252-5 from their 50 overs.

In reply, in-form teenagers Ethan Lockwood (59) and Mitch Dwyers (46) set Stourport up for victory, as the senior pairing of Phil Williams (35no) and James Cook (28no) saw Stourport passed their target with 5 overs to spare.

The thirds lost by 101 runs against Astwood Bank.
