AMAN Verma is prepared to play anywhere if it enhances Harriers' bid for the Football League.

The Aggborough outfit go to relegation-battling Nuneaton on Saturday (12.45pm ko) looking to avoid a particularly dangerous banana skin in the Vanarama Conference.

Liam Daish's side stopped a four-game losing streak impressively with a 2-1 win at high-flying Gateshead.

But Harriers have much to play for with 13 games left and are five points off the promotion spots.

Verma though is happy to be 'Mr Versatile'.

The 26-year-old has played as a striker, on the wing and in midfield this season, scoring four goals.

His eye-catch long range effort against Wrexham being the pick of a good bunch.

He said: "I am always being told to shoot more.

"I know Gary Whild from our days at Redditch and he used me in a number of positions back then, although I was mainly used up front.

"I am happy to play anywhere if it helps the team. For the last few games I have been in midfield and it's all about getting the tackles in and working hard."

Nuneaton, who have not won at home since November 29, will be buoyed by their success in the North East.

Verma added: "Nuneaton will have been given a big lift by this result but we must keep our focus if we are going to win."

Callum Gittings is still suffering from the injury which put him out of action against Stourbridge, while Craig Reid had been signed off from work by a doctor after being the victim of a road collision.
