HARRIERS assistant boss Matt Gardiner praised the attitude of his players after they progressed to the first round of the FA Cup with a convincing success over Weymouth.
A brace from Tyrell Waite and strikes from Mani Dieseruvwe, Jordan Tunnicliffe, Arthur Gnahoura and substitute Liam Truslove saw the home side claim a 6-0 victory at Aggborough.
Gardiner said: "I think even in the last few weeks we are creating more chances and creating them.
"We said we needed to do that today but the most important thing was to be a bit more solid and get that clean sheet. So from our point of view we are happy on both counts.
"We're very pleased with the players' attitudes and its pleasing to get the result.
"It's pleasing for the fans as well. With what happened last year it's pleasing to get into the hat for the next round, so everyone is very happy.
"We aim to be competitive in every game. Again, looking at the play today, there is things to improve on but we'll take that into next week and look to improve again."
Meanwhile, Jordan Tunnicliffe, who netted his first goal for Harriers, was pleased the side were able to progress and is looking forward to the draw for the next round.
He said: "I could have had a hat-trick today but thankfully the third one went in but the main thing is we are through to the first round.
"We take each game as it comes but we're improving every game and it's nice to be on the end of a 6-0 win.
"We've just got to keep going. The gaffer was shouting at us to keep going in the last half hour because we didn't want the tempo to drop.
"Well fancy anyone at the minute the way we are playing."
