STOURPORT women's first team continued to carve out an unbeaten run in the Midlands Division B by defeating Bridgnorth 4-2 on Saturday.

The women produced a strong second half performance to make it five wins in a row in the league.

They had been held by solid defending by Bridgnorth, with Liz Cooke seeing a shot saved by the keeper, to ensure it was 0-0 at half-time.

But the women turned up the heat in the second half, with Sophie Harris setting up Kerry Walker for the opening goal.

Fran Moss made it 2-0 and Kerry Maughan smashed home the third after Holly Lashford's shot was saved by Bridgnorth's keeper.

Stourport's opponents pulled a goal back but they could not turn the tide as Sarah Cavendish set up Cooke for the fourth goal.

Bridgnorth pulled a goal back but it was too little too late, as Stourport secured victory.

The second team came from behind twice to draw 2-2 against Harborne's third team in the Worcestershire First Division.

After going a goal down Louise Bagnall pulled Stourport level, before the home team edged ahead once again just before half-time.

Stourport came out more determined in the second half and Kate Bailey grabbed a second equaliser.

A combined thirds and fourths team from Stourport defeat Studley 3-1, with goals for Lucy Mattocks (2) and Mel Turley.

The first team take on Shrewsbury, the seconds play Evesham, while Stourport's third team go to Bromsgrove and the thirds tackle Droitwich away.

Stourport's Badgers put in a strong all-round performance away at University of Worcester and ran out 2-1 winners, with Seb Hudson and Josh Hopkins on target.

Kidderminster men's second team won a seven-goal thriller 4-3 by defeating Ludlow.

Chris Bartle bagged a hat-trick and Paul Adam hit the back of the net.
