KIDDERMINSTER Harriers Ladies grabbed a handy point in the West Midlands League when they drew 2-2 with Birmingham side Rea Valley on Sunday.

Harriers were missing three players from last week's victory over Lichfield but showed grit and determination at Whellers Lane to earn a point.

Lisa Stokes gave harriers the lead in the sixth minute, when she scored from close range.

Fifteen minutes later Harriers doubled their lead when Emma Bowdler's corner was deflected into Valley's goal by one of their own players.

The Birmingham side hit back in the 32nd minute, when Gemma Horne found the back of the net from the penalty spot.

Both teams had chances to score in the second half, but Valley grabbed an equaliser in the 72nd minute, when Lucy Stucks headed the ball in from a corner.

Harriers take on Headless Cross in the second round of the County Cup on Sunday at Wilden Village Cricket Club (2pm kick-off).

In the Kidderminster and District League Ferndale Ladies were too strong for Droitwich Spa and ran out 11-0 winners on Sunday.

Danni Morris opened the scoring in the 16th minute, before Tracy Haycock grabbed a second in the 21st minute.

Two goals in three minutes from Jo Insley and Sarah Hayden ensured Ferndale powered to a 4-0 lead.

The second half saw Ferndale continue to follow the goal trail, with Hayden bagging two more to complete her hat-trick and Morris and Tracy Hancock completing the rout.

Ferndale Flyers under-11s defeated Bromsgrove Town 5-1, with Molly Maguire (2), Holly Baron (2) and Eilidh Shakespeare hitting the back of the net.

Ferndale Youth under-11s were held 1-1 by Redditch United, with Ella Skura grabbing the equaliser.

Ferndale under-16s were hit by four goals in the first half in Sunday's 6-0 defeat to Banbury United.
