STOURPORT Swifts extended their unbeaten run to four games with a goalless draw at home to Willenhall Town in their Southern League Midland Division clash.

But with better finishing, the Walshes Meadow side would have been celebrating three more vital points to help their climb up the table.

Chances went begging at both ends in a fairly even opening half but the pick of the efforts came just before the break.

With 43 minutes gone, Darren Andrews found Craig Marshall with his cross only for the striker to fire over from 12 yards.

A minute later and it was the visitors who went close, Craig Milligan curling a shot just the wrong side of the upright.

It was Stourport who upped their game in the second half and could have broken the deadlock soon after the restart when Andy Smith's right wing cross found Adam Robinson but he sent his header over the bar.

But the best chance was left to the end. With five minutes to go, more good work from Smith on the right saw him pick out the unmarked Marshall only for his header to fly wide of the target.
