WINGER Dave Hankin is raring to be let loose on Hayes and Yeading after starting against Forest Green Rovers.

The wideman made his first start in six games at the New Lawn and capped a bright display by helping to set up up Chris McPhee's leveller.

Now he's hoping that display was enough to impress manager Steve Burr and keep him in the side for Saturday's trip to to London.

He said: "The gaffer's changed it about and he's left some people out.

"If I don't start on Saturday, I hope to be on the bench at least.

"But hopefully I will be starting against Hayes and Yeading on Saturday."

Harriers did well to come from behind and take a point at Forest Green.

Hankin also thought striker Reece Styche was fortunate to stay on the pitch after he escaped with a yellow card for a reckless challenge on Harriers keeper Danny Lewis.

"In the second half we were well worth a point or even three and right at the end we created some chances, while right at the end Danny [Lewis] pulled off some excellent saves," he added.

"He [Styche] was at it all game and what he did to Danny there was no need for it - even their players thought he was going to be sent off.

"Even after that he could have been shown another yellow and been sent-off."

With Chris Swan poised to take over Harriers it's unclear whether Harriers will take 11-goal top scorer Chris McPhee off the transfer list.

McPhee's influence has been talismanic this season and with Harriers still in the hunt for the Blue Square Bet Premier play-offs, despite a five-point deduction, Hankin believes it's imperative to hold onto him.

Hankin said: "Macca's been brilliant all season and if we want to make the play-offs then then we need our best players."
