RISING alpine skiing star Ashley Breese completed a fantastic season when he took gold at the British National Ski Championships in France.
The 15-year-old roared to victory in the children’s slalom in Meribel, winning the title in a time of 34.25 seconds.
National success for the Stourport High School pupil completed a fine year for the teenager, who steps up into the junior age level when the 2011-12 season commences at the end of the year.
At the English Alpine Championships in Italy in March, Breese won the giant slalom to take gold.
The gifted young downhill skier, who hopes one day to represent Britain at the Winter Olympics, will take a break before beginning preparations for the new season.
Mother Cheryl Breese said: “Ashley is stepping up to a higher age group but it was nice to go out and end the season by winning the British Championships.”
