CROSS-COUNTRY: Kidderminster and Stourport AC (KSAC) travelled to Dudley to compete in the Action Heart five-mile road race over an undulating course on Sunday.
This is the first race in the club’s Race League and it was well supported by 19 members.
First home for KSAC was John Amos in 34 minutes eight seconds in 62nd place, followed by Martin Willmott (35.12, 78th) and 16-year-old Sian Powell, who achieved a remarkable time of 35.19 (81st) in her first five mile race.
Paul Bradley completed the course in 36.36 (98th), while there were strong performances by debutant Neil Kirk (37.05, 104th), Hilary Crook (38.11, 122nd, 1st FV50), Ian Clough (38.26, 127th), Anna Grove (38.57, 139th), Christine Sedman-Smith (39.09, 145th, 1st FV60), Austin Keenan (40.25, 171st), Pat Fletcher (40.29, 172nd), Selina Topham (41.03, 181st), Mick Hudson (42.27, 213rd), Sonya Hill (42.56, 223rd), Ron Payne (44.39, 256th), Nancy Ingram (48.10, 326th), Cora O’Mahony (49.18, 339th), Pam Manning (49.32, 341st) and Wendy Coleman (51.50, 373rd).
