Lets be honest who wants to be bored with shooting in the 2012 Olympic games here in London give the public what they want.

Ive been glued to whats been an amazing 2009 pdc world darts championship over the Christmas period and I'm looking forward to tonight's final between two of the darting greats of all time Phil Taylor and Raymond Van Barneveld.

So with so much coverage on sky sports why not include this much loved sport in our Olympic games ?

With the venue being held at the impressive Alexandra palace there's no need to spend millions of pounds building stadiums around the capital for this sport which is growing by the day worldwide with so many players now playing from different countries from around the globe.

People say darts is not a real sport its easy etc etc etc try telling that to the likes of Taylor and co who spend hours trying to master a perfect 9 dart finish which was done by Van Barneveld for the first time ever on Friday night much to the delight of the millions watching it at the time.

I'm sure they are missing a trick here we have some of the worlds best players in this country giving us a great chance of winning it so why not include one of our favourite sports.

It also puzzles me why we can not include golf as well as darts ?

With some of the most testing and famous golf courses around this country again saving millions of pounds golf is one of the most global sports around and when the likes of the open and the Ryder cup are being played millions of people are gripped to TV screens around the world watching one of the most popular games played and loved by so many people.

Its been over 100 years since golf was last an official Olympic sport (1904) so why not bring it back ?

Is it just me or are the people of the Olympic games not giving the public what they want ? Shooting and diving or darts and golf ? Im sure some will disagree with me but for majority of people who watch and love sport on a regular basis PLEASE GIVE US WHAT WE WANT.
