STEVE Burr has left his position as manager of Kidderminster Harriers with immediate effect.

A statement on the club website thanked Burr for his time at the club.

Burr joined Harriers nearly four years ago and during his successful tenure guided Kidderminster to two sixth and one second place finish.

The news comes as a shock after Harriers had held League One Peterborough to a 0-0 draw in the FA Cup third round.

The statement said: "The Board of Directors would like to state explicitly again that its sole ambition for this season is to achieve promotion back to the Football League and that they are fully committed to taking whatever step necessary to reach that goal."

It's a football league club Northampton is at least 3 times bigger than kiddy village, he would be mad not to take it.

I agree. From a family point of view no relocation. Bigger transfer budget. Increased wage. If the worst happenned he would end up back in the conference. No Brainer Really.

I wonder if this move is to scupper plans of getting into the league, can the owners really afford to move up to the next level?

Things obviously not been right for months. Must have been unsettled last year to take an interest in the Forest Green Rovers job. Rumours on the internet that he was seen at the Hawthorns less than an hour ago!!
