That is it! Harriers had almost all the play in the second half but did not really test keeper Danny Hurst. Jack Byrne's efforts were rewarded with a fine effort but it has been a frustrating afternoon for Kidderminster.

They slip down to eighth in the Skrill Premier but are still one point the play-off spots.

93- Hattersley is fouled just outside Harriers area. Hattersley's free-kick hits the ball but it falls to Fitzpatrick, who smashes in a 20-yard effort which smashes off the post and ricochets away to safety!

Demetriou's delivery is too long. Grimes puts it back in but the whistle blows for a Kiddy foul.

93- Corner to Harriers!

Second change for Southport as Richard Brodie is on for 21.

Change for Southport when Vinny Mukendi replaces Jason Walker.

88- Lee Vaughan tries to play in a lofted pass but it is plucked out of air by Hurst.

It is all Harriers now and Southport can barely get out of their half.

Five minutes of normal time left for Harriers to bag a winner. A rainbow has suddenly emerged from behind the clouds.

82- Big Nathan Blissestt replaces Michael Gash.

So close! Mickey Demetriou delivers a great corner and Gash thinks he has headed Harriers ahead at the far post but he hits the post and has his head in his hands.

Superb effort by Byrne. Southport had just about cleared a Mickey Demetriou cross to the end of the box and Byrne hits a first time effort which flew into bottom rut corner.

Goal! Byrne!

75- Gittings' corner is too long the ball goes behind for a goal-kick.

74- Michael Gash draws a foul when he holds up a free-kick. The set piece is 20-yards out on the right.

His delivery is headed behind for a corner.

Yammy Osawe gets a yellow.

70- Nathan Blissett and Amari'i Bell have both started to warm-up.

67- Nick Wright has the ball in the back of the net but the whistle blew for a foul in the build-up.

62- First change for Harriers as Nick Wright replaces Danny Jackman. Harriers have four strikers on pitch now.

60- Lee Vaughan drives up the right, swaps passes with Gash and finds Byrne, who smashes a decent low hit wide from 20-yards.

It could be nearly time to make a change for Harriers and Nick Wright and Josh O'Keefe begin warming up.

54- Southport try to hit back and Karl Ledsham fires a long range effort over the bar.

52- Jack Byrne goes for goal 20-yards out and his firm effort flies just wide.

51- Chance! Gittings drives forward, passes to Vaughan, who slides in a low cross. Gash spins and shoots but it hits a defender. Good play by the home side.

49- Harriers are making a connected effort to push forward. If Kiddy can score it would change the game.

46- So nearly an opening. Malbon does really well to cut in from the left and beat his marker. He pulls ball to Gash and the striker finds Gittings but the midfielder can't get the ball under his complete control and loses out.

It is a big half for Gary Whild. He needs to get more from his team.

That is the break! Harriers had chances early in the game and paid the price for not taking them

The hosts have struggled to close down the away side in midfield and look as though they lack a little pace.

Three minutes time added on.

44- Vaughan is off pitch having some treatment but Harriers take the set piece on the right but Jackman's delivery is too long.

43 Worry here for Harriers as Lee Vaughan goes down and needs treatment after David Fitzpatrick steps on his foot.

42- Good play by Malbon who spreads the ball out to the right for AMS. He slips it to Byrne but the midfielder tries one pass too many and the chance goes begging. He might have been better off shooting in the box.

38- Malbon sees an effort deflected wide to force a corner.

Hurst comfortably takes Gittings' delivery.

36- Let off! Harriers' defence is caught out by Yammy Oswae, who is completely unmarked at the left post but with just Danny Lewis to beat he fires into side netting.

30- Tempers! Danny Hattersley catches Michael Gash with his head and a melee ensues.

Southport's Toto Nsiala completely loses his temper and tries to wade in only to find Josh Gowling put his hand around the Southport man's neck.

Nsiala is finally dragged away and told to calm down by team mate Hattersley.

Gowling gets a harsh booking for trying calm things down and Nsiala rightly is show a yellow.

Poor defending by hosts. Jason Walker drives in from the right and rides several ineffective challenges to ddeliver the ball and finally after a scramble Danny Hattersley pokes it home.

Goal! Hattersley! Harriers trailing 1-0

25- AMS flicks to ball to Malbon. Despite being surrounded and 30 yards out, but he goes for goal but it is easy for Hurst to take.

24- Harriers are starting to play some good stuff but a nice spell on the ball is broken up by Jack Byrne's poor pass. The home side are in the driving seat.

Chance! Gash robs the ball off a defender and passes to Anthony Malbon, who fires in a shot that may well have crept in at far post but Danny Hattersley makes a vital block.

13- Free-kick to Harriers on the left and Gash slams a low effort wide.

10- Southport keeper Danny Hurst rushes out of his box to chase a long ball and he is lucky the ball is on the left wing. The shot stopper races backto his goal and the danger is averted.

7- Some nice passing sees Harriers earn a corner.

Danny Jackman's de.iverh is long but Amari Morgan-Smith hooks it back into the box at the far post and Josh Gowling sees an effort deflected wide.

From the second corner, Jamie Grimes directs a header wide from eight yards.

Callum Gittings is wearing a bandage on his head.

Southport have made most of the early running. Both sets of fans are also in good voice.

1- Anthony Malbon races onto a pass and looks clean through but he looks a little slow and two defenders close him down. The striker has a low shot well saved by the keeper.

The mascot today is William Wallace, 6, who was paid for by The Shuttle. The little laddie has a genetic heart abnormality.

Harriers are fifth in the Skrill Premier but with a host of teams vying for the play-offs it is imperative they keep winning at home, particularly after a handy point at Aldershot.

Southport are still battling relegation but under John Coleman have really picked up with one loss in five games.

But the Sandgrounders have one of the poorest away record in the league, with just one win and three draws.

Southport: Hurst, Brown, Nsiala, Walker, Ledsham, Hattersley, George, Fitzpatrick, Osawe, O'Sullivan, Daly.

Subs: Mukendi, Challoner, Rutherford, Joyce, Brodie.

One change for Harriers as Michael Gash returns from his sickness bug to start.

Harriers subs: Blissett, Wright, N Vaughan, O'Keefe, Bell.

Harriers: Lewis, L Vaughan, Demetriou, Byrne, Gash, Malbon, Grimes, Jackman, Gittings, Morgan-Smith, Gowling.

Well we've had a small but intense hailstorm a few minutes ago, which has left one of the goal mouths very wet and the groundstaff using a roller to try and improve it.

Good afternoon Harriers fans. It's another big game for Gary Whild and Kidderminster.

Can they see off in-form Southport and keep up their promotion push? Find out later with The Shuttle's live match updates.
