Olivia has had an extremely successful year in terms of results and is one of the standout athlete’s within Samurai Judo Club, one of the countries most successful judo outfits.

Within her successful year Olivia achieved a number of different accolades, at the top of the list would be becoming the European Special Needs Champion held in Amsterdam this year.

Olivia had 5 contests, most of her opponents heavier than her and all of them older. She won all five, four by ippon, to take the gold and become European Special Needs Champion.

Along side this great success, Olivia also became British Schools Special Needs Champion, earned a place on the mainstream England Squad.

Part of this great achievement was down to the success Olivia experienced becoming a gold medallist at the following mainstream events: Scottish Open, North-West Open, Kent International Open, Eastern Area Open, Heart of England Open, Gloucestershire and Worcestershire Open.

Part of Olivia’s great achievements comes down to her dedication to the sport for which she trains four nights a week at the club, she is always one of the first to arrive and works extremely hard throughout training sessions.
