At the September meeting, members were told about forthcoming events and given the chance to see their completed bowl which was fashioned from individual clay plaques made in June.
Choir rehearsals have begun for the carol concert and The Shrinkin’ Violets are busy working towards their December performance.
Speaker, George Mills, gave a talk entitled ‘my gran was a gypsy’.
The next meeting will be held on October 7 at 7.30pm at Astley village hall when there will be a fish and chip supper followed by some poetry reading.
