Astley WI

As usual there is a huge amount on offer for members to enjoy. In May there is a food safety course, a clay pigeon shoot and a tennis taster session which may be enjoyed by those who are interested. In June there is the chance to visit Chatsworth House, a Summer Soiree at Hartlebury Castle with supper, a guided walk round the historic town of Droitwich and our own trip to the Carpet Museum in Kidderminster on the 9th June where we should see the looms working. July sees the opportunity to attend another one of the very popular preserving days which this time will focus on preserving soft fruit and later in the month there is the annual Lucy Hingley Memorial Lecture – a talk with a medical theme given by Sally Robertson Smith, Clinical Lead for Women’s Health at Worcestershire Acute Hospitals NHS Trust. She will be giving a light-hearted talk on a serious subject entitled Who Cares about the Pelvic Floor?
