Willowcraft was speaker Dave Jackson’s subject at the September 14 meeting.

Several events took place in August, including a visit to Little Larford and a fund-raising coffee morning held at Paula Smith’s home. Following a tour of Stourport, a party of German Landfrauen members were entertained to tea at Church House. Money was raised for the Denman Bursary at a ‘punch and pie’ party held in Carole Allsop’s garden.

Di Parkes, who won this year’s bursary, reported on her visit to the college, where she took part in the ‘London remains to be seen’ course.

President Audrey Mallory led discussion on National Federation matters. The winner of the competition for an unusual piece of wood was won by Pam Stubbs.

The next meeting will be at Areley Kings Village Hall on October 12, when Mr and Mrs Betts will show sildes of their local area.
