Rock walkers set to Pound the Bounds

WALKERS will be pounding the streets of Rock to raise funds for its village hall.

On Sunday, March 14 at 2pm, the group will be leading their monthly walk. These walks of two to three hours duration are along footpaths and bridleways, off the road and into the countryside. All welcome but no dogs please. The starting point will be on Rock Village Hall (OS ref 735712).

POUND THE BOUNDS WALK – This walk, which celebrates its tenth anniversary on Sunday, May 2, has re–established an ancient tradition of Beating the Bounds that used to be performed annually to remind locals of their parish boundary.
